Like all games, it has its own rules and many variations of different levels, for beginners to advanced and beginners in BDSM. "BDSM" means slavery, discipline, domination and subordination, sadism and masochism; intense sensory stimulation and involvement in fantasy role-playing games. A study published in 1999 by the German Institut fur rationale Psychologie, about two-thirds of the women interviewed, expressed their desire to be at the mercy of their sex partners from time to time. 69% admitted to having sexual fantasies related to erotic subjugation, 42% expressed interest in specific BDSM techniques, and 25% expressed interest in erotic bonding.
